Terms of use

Last updated: 2026-04-29

These Terms govern your use of ArcSentinel (the "Service"). By creating an

account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by ArcNode — contact:

hello@arcsentinel.app.

1. The Service

ArcSentinel is a consent-based OSINT and infrastructure-diagnostics

workspace. It exists to help you observe systems you own or for which

you have explicit written authorisation to observe.

2. Account

  • You must be 16 or older.
  • You are responsible for all activity on your account.
  • You must use a strong, unique passphrase and protect it. We never ask

for your passphrase by email or any other channel.

  • API keys are scoped credentials. Treat them like passphrases. Revoke

any key you suspect is compromised.

3. Acceptable use — the consent rule

You agree to use the Service **only against targets you own or have

explicit, written authorisation to investigate**. You must not:

  • Probe, port-scan, fingerprint, or fetch banners from infrastructure you

do not control without that authorisation.

  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable computer-misuse,

hacking, or fraud laws (including but not limited to the EU Cybercrime

Convention, the US Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, the UK Computer Misuse

Act, and equivalents).

  • Use the Service to harass, stalk, profile, or harm any person.
  • Attempt to bypass the Service's safety controls (consent gates, rate

limits, ownership declaration, SSRF guard).

  • Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service.
  • Probe the Service itself except via our security-disclosure channel

(SECURITY.md).

We enforce the consent rule technically: the UI, the API, and the

worker each verify a signed consent record before any active probe runs.

Trying to defeat that is a Terms violation and may also be a criminal

offence.

4. Your content

  • You retain ownership of the targets, cases, scans, intel, and vault

entries you create.

  • You grant us a limited licence to host, transmit, and process your

content solely to operate the Service for you.

  • We do not use your content to train models, sell to third parties, or

build advertising profiles.

5. Sealed vault

Vault entries are encrypted in your browser before they reach our servers.

We cannot decrypt them. **If you lose your vault passphrase, the entries

are unrecoverable.** This is by design.

6. Availability

The Service is offered on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not

guarantee uninterrupted operation. Scheduled maintenance and force-majeure

events may cause downtime.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential

damages.

  • Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the

Service is limited to the amounts you have paid us in the 12 months

preceding the claim, or EUR 100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or

death/personal injury caused by negligence — where such limitation is

prohibited by law.

8. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time via `Settings → Security →

Delete account`. Termination is immediate and cascades to all your

content (see Privacy Policy).

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if

required by law. We will, where lawful, notify you and give you a

reasonable chance to export your data.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted to this page

and announced in-app. Continued use after the effective date is your

acceptance of the change. If you do not accept, terminate your account

before the change takes effect.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without

regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive

jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, except where mandatory local

consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your

own jurisdiction.
